Student visa checklist

The following are the documents required during online visa application.

Application link -

  • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) letter from the university

  • IELTS or relevant score card (The proof for your English language skills as mentioned in your CAS letter).

  • Tuberculosis test (TB) certificate - 

  • Government ID proof.

  • Passport.

  • UK Accommodation contract (or you can give your university address).

  • Degree certificate and transcript (Provisional is also okay. This is just for safer side)

Name affidavit

Name affidavit is required only if you had these reasons

  • If you had a different name in the past

  • If you had changed your last name after marriage

  • If your name is misspelled in any document

  • If you have a longer name

Financial documents

If financial requirement for both fees and living expenses is met through bank loan.

  • Bank loan approval document. (University fees + Living expenses).

 

If financial requirement for fees is met through bank loan and living expense is met through savings.

  • Bank loan approval document. (University fees).

  • Bank statement or passbook (Living expenses) (Funds to be maintained for more than 28 days).

  • Bank letter (Living expenses).

  • Consent Letter from parents and your birth certificate (If the account is in the name of parents).

 

If financial requirement and living expense is met through savings (Funds to be maintained for more than 28 days).

  • Bank statement or passbook (University fees + Living expenses).

  • Bank letter (University fees + Living expenses).

  • Consent Letter from parents your birth certificate (If the account is in the name of parents).

LIVING EXPENSE OR MAINTENANCE FUNDS - GBP  9,207 (Outside London)

                                                                     - GBP 12,006 (London)

VISA FEES - GBP 490

IHS (IMMIGRATION HEALTH SURCHARGE)

 

For Saving Account

  1. Get the 1 months statement from the bank and a bank letter.

 

For Fixed Deposit

  1. Get a letter in bank letter head with the details of the FD cheque details.

For Bank Loan letter

  1. The letter should be on bank’s letterhead, duly signed and stamped

  2. The letter should clearly specify the amount of loan and the student’s name

  3. Should include a promise to disburse the amount as and when specified

 

Here is what all the bank letter should include

  • Name of the person/ persons who hold the account with the bank

  • The kind of account (savings/ current/ joint) and the tenure of relationship (years for which the person has held the account in that bank)

  • Balance in the account/s
